Store, load titles from disk: PackImage often aliased

In the documentation for Title Packs, only the aspect ratio for the PackImage.jpg is mentioned (16:9).
Surprisingly almost all original titles from Nadeo have a nice image, except ShootMania Platform, ShootMania Royal, and TrackMania Platform, which show lot of aliasing, as if their resolution was to low.
Side note, a video animation is used for Storm and Stadium only, but not (yet?) for Canyon, Valley and the other official titles
Side note 2: in the title pack examples for Platform (different to the current one) and Solitaire, a PackImage with size 1920x1080 is used.
And for all custom title packs it is the same: despite their top logos look almost fine, the title images shown in the middle is coarse.

So, what is the real problem here?
Is perhaps "16:9" alone not that good? Or are only typical texture dimensions with sides that are ^2 allowed, e.g. 512x288 (OK, this would indeed look coarse), 1024x576, 2048x1152,
Please give good advice and update the documentation accordingly.
