I just played a Heroes cup and whenever I pressed tab ( even after 5-6 rounds ) I saw people on the scoreboard who I dont know or who werent playing in my match.
The same happens on the instagib mode and others too.

This is quite annoying because a scoreboard doesnt just let u know scores. It lets you know who is the best player in the other team or who is doing ' the capturing ' or who's doing the "killing" in some other modes AND with that information you can adapt your own playstyle. It also shows who is still alive or dead. A scoreboard is much more than just numbers.

Solution:
- Dont put spectators on the scoreboard
- Dont keep players that left on the scoreboard.
--> I know that you do this to "save" their score for when they come back, but honestly it's annoying.
--> Save the score, but remove them from the scoreboards

Heroes scoreboard:
Highlight who has the nucleus and split up the hits in def-hits / attack-hits


Please NADEO Its these "daily little things" that can make this good game an awesome game. Tyvm.

I would personally prefer to keep specs in the scoreboard and left people too actually.
In gamemodes other than ELite and Instagib people go on full servers and wait for a slot to get free. Also people go afk and come back after a while. I find it not only useful but also crucial to know who is on the server, other than the current players.

Normally these people also shouldn't be any problem for the scoreboard, since playing people tend to have a score and get sorted up. In Speedball sometimes people have negative scores at the start of a map from team hits and that's already confusing. But Heroes sorts first by won rounds as the Nuc, and then... after login? That made for some super dumb scoreboards that Dreammy is showing us one of. That really shouldn't be the case.

Wouldn't it be enough to simply always sort specs the furthest down and then the people who left the game? Then the active players would always float up and the scoreboard would look tidy, no matter how... dumb a gamemodes scoreboard sorting is, or how many specs there are.

Maybe I'm just used to it from years of TM, but the scoreboard never seemed like the wrong playe for speccers. Often intersting information about specs is automatically shown in the scoreboard like their rank... okay that might be it, but still.

Ok well, if I'm in a match and I only see players of others ( that arent even playing ) then that really is a problem.
As I said : A scoreboard is more than just numbers.

And I still stand by my solution:
--> Its cool that NADEO wants to save scores for when players come back, but they should still be removed from the scoreboard. What's the benefit of having them on the scoreboard???

PlayerXYZ left mid-game and has 17kills. Who, of the players that finished the map, will care? 0 if you'd ask me.

It's done differentaly in other games. Specs dont get stats and are always at the bottom with a different "lay-out/look"

This would be a good solution and I can't think of a reason why it wasn't made like that from the beginning. Might even be good to have a separate spectator list. At the moment spectators are put in a team even if they join as spectators. This is a problem in modes where you can't switch teams instantly.

In the next update the scores table will have two new settings to sort the spectators and/or the disconnected players at the end of the scores table.
