Hey,
I recently got the problem that when I try to install the latest update for TM2 Stadium, a box appears, which says the following:
"A new version of the game has just been downloaded. Some files are going to be updated. This operation requires Administrator privileges."
When I then click OK, another box appears:
"The update of game system files failed. To update, administrator rights are required. Contact your system administrator and ask for the rights. Also, check the amount of remaining free space in your installation drive.
I also clicked OK at that point and of course after that nothing happens.

I don't know what to do anymore. Got enough space on my HDD, tried to run the TM2 launcher with Admin rights and reinstalled the game, nothing changed. When I start the game via the Maniaplanet launcher, I only get to the point after logging in, where it says, I would have to restart the game because of the recent update, that has to be installed...

Can anybody help?

Are you administrator on your computer ? Is the session you use to do the update an administrator session ?

Yes, both things are the case
By the way, my OS is Win7 Professional 64bit.

Recently I had a similar problem with another software that didn't installed correctly because of the user account control. It always said me that I didn't have the required rights. It was on a Windows 7 64bits Professional Edition too

I solved my problem by going on the user account control and putting the cursor in the 3rd level or 4th level.
Can you try this ?

Do you mean the user account control in the Windows system control? What do you mean with 3rd or 4th level?

Yes, it is on the 3rd level in my user control too... And it doesn't make a difference on the fourth level.

How much free space do you have ?
Sorry but I don't have the solution

About 65GB... Definitely more than enough.
