[CHEAT] You can use the gravity setting for cheating.

If you e.g. have to make a jump in order to finish faster, you could simply set the gravity to 0,95 and literally noone would notice.

I saved some Replays of maps driven on a low gravity server. They includes the car parameters of the changed physics.
Some Replays are marked as validable in the file header:
<times best="59110" respawns="0" stuntscore="89" validable="1"/>
And some not:
<times best="43970" respawns="0" stuntscore="15" validable="0"/>
So sites like MX can not check, if such a Replay was driven with normal or modified physics.
The Replay luckily doesn't validate (wrong simulation).
But the comparison of the online times and the Validation Replay is done using the server controller. So Dedimania times can be cheated too. Or is there an extra test done on Sligs Dedimania site?
Can anyone confirm this. I have not much time for further testing.

I think if replay can't be validated this is OK, but dedimania can be cheat (it handles through XmlRpc callbacks). Solution for that is not using a gravity changes + dedi at once, or force Nadeo to send gravity parameter with all callbacks...

Isn't it possible that Nadeo includes kind of a "if Gravity, Accel or Control values are changed, no communication with 3rd party plugins/scripts" ?

Are records of different modes like TA, Rounds or some Scripted mode treated as same records?
If so than it really is the problem, maybe there is some info about mode inside replay file that can be used to validate replay.

Yes.

No, currently not.
All such Replays should marked with validable="0". I have no idea why some marked as validable and some not.

Big words and capital letters but have you made some tries before writing this ?
Can someone prove it's possible to cheat with gravity ?
Don't you think the car is slower in the air ?
I've just make some tests on a Canyon map. Lower gravity is always (Canyon and Valley car) slower
So i guess gravity is not a good cheat. And i think also it's not necessary to give tips about potential cheats

What if it's a trial or climb map? What if it is a map, where you need to have a specific speed to make a jump?
As said, you can turn the gravity setting to 0.98 and it will become more difficult to tell the difference.
...and of course it is not a cheat, but it is an open window for cheaters. Closing the backdoor should do the trick and we can keep the gravity, deal?
