Had windows 8.1 recently upgraded to windows 10

2 problems which i have noticed after update

I have noticed that my game seems to crash once every hour and each time it crashes i have a frozen screen, if i try to get task manager or try to tab out i get a black screen, however teamspeak is still running and usually i have music playing, this is all still going on while i have a black screen.

This then requires me to restart my whole computer..... this is very frustrating please help/fix ???

windows 10
nividia GTX770
i7

Second problem, on some maps if i tab out then back in the shadows go all weird, its like all the shadows that are in the distance become checkered , sorry hard to explain ill try get a screenshot of this if i get it again.

However had no issues with frame drops as stated by some people running AMD

How did you install the game?
Did you let it create all settings itself, or did you copy your settings and profile from the old setup?

Then please delete the following file in your data folder, Maniaplanet\Config : Default.SystemConfig.gbx
Eventually also the dx9 cache files in the ProgramData\maniaPlanet\GpuCache_D3D9 folder.

all those files will be created automatically again, and you might need to adjust a few settings as well afterwards.

ok so i managed to find and delete the Maniaplanet\Config : Default.SystemConfig.gbx file,

however i couldn't find the dx9 cache files in ProgramData\maniaPlanet\GpuCache_D3D9 folder ??

With in the GpuCache_D3D9 folder i have folders named:
Bench
Clouds
Combi
effects
engine
fixed
garage
lightmap
menu
shootmania
sky
techno3
vehicles

Is this correct??

Well, the exact place of that GpuCache folder might vary, depending on the Windows version, but yes, you can delete it's contents safely.
