Steam: game does not start - refunding now

A Steam user purchased the game today via Steam.
System specs are good enough, i5 CPU, 8GB RAM, nVidia GTX 760, yesterdays drivers, Madcadz keyboard and mouse only.
Turbo crashed directly at the start, Steam showed the game running for ~5s and then not anymore, for every start try.
in crashlog only some Stack overflow messages and an Exception,
apparently at Steam overlay Dll.
Turned off Steam Overlay for Turbo, uninstalled nVidia 3D vision stuff (no glasses available anyway),
restarted the PC, nothing works.
Deleted systemconfig file, checked nVidia driver settings (changed most settings to "controlled by application"),
also made sure to try on only 1 screen.
Uninstalled and reinstalled the driver.
Nothing helped.
Really disappointing
One user less, he is refunding the game.

Another user with a very similar issue (Steam shows the game is running for short time only) was successful by using compatibility mode for the Steam.exe.
Details will follow as soon as I have some.

Ok, the second user has used the Windows compatibilty tab in the Steam.exe properties in the Windows explorer, and only used "Run as administrator", leaving all other compatibility options unchecked. Game is running fine.
Please try if you have a similar issue, and report here your results.

I'd say check if there's a LogCrash file as well.

Please Tmarc... Don't double post. I think it's against the rules. In case you did not know : There is an "edit post" button under your posts, so try to use it in stead. Of course I'm not an admin, but just wanted to help you anyways.
Glad to be of service. Goodnight Trackmaniacs.
OT : Steam Refunds are great for when people cant actually play the game somehow. I dont think 1 or 2 users will make that much of a difference, but it's good that u reported this, because maybe NADEO can fix it now.

Not sure if you are serious.
TMarc is a global moderator, so I'm pretty sure he would know the rules, which by the way say nothing about double posting:
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=12&start=0.
Anyway, you say you just want to help, and that's good at least.

Thanks Whitestar
quadkillgod, for you and others who are reading the topic only now, it might indeed look like double or triple post.
But it isn't. I was reporting the issue stepwise when I got to know further things by the time.
It could also have been very likely that new information is there only after one or more days.
Therefore please see it as service to have up to date information, especially for this kind of issues.
Thanks for your understanding
