Xbox One Pad (Win10) still broken

So using the Xbox One wired controller with Windows 10 in TrackMania Turbo is broken like TM2, e.g. you can't use the keyboard and you also cannot bind something like Turbo to the pad, if you open the part where it lets you rebind it, no buttons respond and you have to alt+f4 to get out of the game.

If you unplug the controller at any point (in Trackmania Turbo only), the entire OS stops responding. Whenever you click, there's an interrupt in mouse movement and a double "Beep" sound. This forces a hard, physical restart on the front of the computer in my case, as replugging the controller does not fix this broken state.

I tried the TM2 solution with old Microsoft drivers for Windows 10 for the Xbox One pad, but I could not ever get that to work because the controller automatically installed the frest drivers when it was plugged in, regardless of settings I put for this.

Please help me get the Xbox One controller to work at least decently.

That TM2 solution worked for a lot of people as you could see underneath that topic ;)
Perhaps this Turbo fix could help you as well viewtopic.php?f=524&t=37764
