http://www.ratland.xs.com.pl/ratland/tmtsearch.php

Simple search engine for TMT maps (author or env).

Cached all PS4 and PC maps for now. Will be updated (it's not realtime, unfortunatelly).

If someone has strange nick in TMT and was remembered by other nick from TM-X, please write here. I made on-the-fly converter of nicks.

seems to work great (even for partial names). Btw it might be intresting to add some stats. Like Total maps indexed for pc,ps4 and total maps by environment per system

one can check this out as well manually but it takes a whole lot time for the page to load then i think a simple query can do this more properly (than just searching for an evironment without an author like i just did)

for example i found out you have 14280 stadium tracks on ps4 indexed while the pc version of the game only has 4136 stadium tracks :)

it's just a gimmick but intresting to see these stats

also can you access the play count / rating ? might be a good idea to index that data as well then you can create stats like top 10 players with most tracks for each environment /system as well as top 10 tracks with highest play count / rating per system / environment etc

It's simply procedure so I don't make stats etc. It's for searching and I don't want to made parts that Nadeo should do.

And what do you mean "it takes a whole lot time for the page to load"? I wrote "canyon" and "ps4" and it takes 5 seconds to display 17808 tracks.

at home it took about 10-15 seconds to load the 14000 ps4 stadium tracks when i just tried it now at work it took about 1 second :) The connection at work is much faster though had no reference yesterday

the much slower part was only in reference to a query specifically created to calculate the totals if you would have made the stats page. a query that "calculates" the stats is faster than having to load the whole list of tracks. But since your not goana make a stats page it does not matter. Also shouldn't nadeo have made this search functionality in the first place as well ? ;)

Yes, but since they don't (I don't know why is feedback request thread on forum) I made it. I hope just temporarly until they do that where it should be done.

Because you let you come up with something good. But what makes it for a sense if I can not download these maps as in MP(Maniaexchange2 usual and play offline (PV-Version). It then has only statistical character.

This is the most interesting part of the post.
this reflect the reciprocal respect between Nadeo and community.

Nadeo built a semi-open platform,
that attired many clever guys to the TM universe.
This openess ever fighted with the "exhuberancy" of the independant developers,
that evolved thru the years in a very interesting race of smartness.
Nadeo is naturally "slowered" by the need of armonic and industrial developement,
but the innovators need to run...
The equilibrium was achieved with a sort of "benevolent complicity",
based on mutual respect of "roles",
of wich this post is an example.

I'm sure at Nadeo will want to do the best, for all of us,
and i patiently wait those "waves" of interesting things.
--------------
By the way, the argument of stats, and in general of sharing AND RETRIEVE detailed data,
it is crucial for the perception of the game by newbies,
that is the real big event of the Turbo-era.

If i am a new pilot, a competitive one,
i need to place myself in the TM(T) universe,
and this can be achieved in many ways:
-in a group of friends
-in a casual room
-in a competitive room
-winning medals
-etc
If i am a Trackbuilder,
i need to know who, when and where my maps are used...
...
But with the huge number of new players (and builders, as i see so far),
it is very difficult to give to the pilot the exact sensation of his own position and "potentiality".
This is more complicated than ever NOW,
that we have 4 environment
and 3 platforms, and dozens of GeoZone,
that will generate zillions of charts and sub charts.

This huge dataset must be managed, cleaned, refined,
a big-big effort that would intersect the competentecies of Dedimania, Mania-exchange, ManiaPark, Saseco, etc
as an epic battle to "reunite" in middle of the chaos.

----------------
The best atout of TM is the longevity,
alimented by the "original concept" of "modular track building"
and billions of tracks and servers MADE BY PLAYERS.
This "cooperative mind" built a COMMUNITY.
Newbies must experience this,
and stats is a basic need.

Why not? You can download every of them. The only you need is add map to favorites and then enter MULTIPLAYER in game, then ARCADE, then ARCADE TRACKBUILDER WORKSHOP and then FAVORITES. And then you can choose map that you added to favorites and play on it. Of course - this is very crappy method and not very intuitive. Maybe there is better way to do that, I don't know. But it's possible.
