Hello I recently changed my controller for my (server), my server works now with ML eXpansion.
I wanted to add musics on my server following the indications of this file:

I followed everything but I do not understand the line 10 (step 8) " upload your music folder to Web provider (FTP, FTP, Scp, to whatever) "
I do not know if I have to upload the file "tm music" or all the musics one by one and I do not understand exactly where :/
Can you answer me by explaining to me clearly where it is necessary that I upload?

The complete Folder 'musictest'

was uploaded/transferred to http://reaby.kapsi.fi/ml/

creating a subfolder and url of http://reaby.kapsi.fi/ml/musictest

This is a working url and you can see it's contents if visited.

The index.csv can be downloaded and edited for your own playlist content


So once you have checked your own index.csv - your own music folder
should then be uploaded to a ftp hosting site ie.... 'http://your music location'

step 10
The Mainialive config.ini then needs edit with your own site url.

manialive.plugins[] = 'eXpansion\MusicBox';
ManiaLivePlugins\eXpansion\MusicBox\Config.url = 'http://your music location';

This next part is not anymore needed, plugin manager ingame handles all configs of the plugins.

see chat command or use the menu... there you find "Tools: musicbox"

for generating the index csv, there is a tool called musicbox manager
you can find it at tools folder... or you can download it here

Alright, i had already understand all the steps except the 8th one but now i've understand it my last question is can you explain me more about "ftp hosting site ie" for the moment, my problème is just that i don't know where upload exactly my musics :/

which ISP ( Internet Service Provider ) are you with?

Have you checked if they give you any free webspace that you can use ?

Maybe ManiaCDN is useful here?

My server is host by the website nc1.eu , with that site i have a tfp server and a php data base

My IPS is "Orange" i live in France

My ISP is offering a Cloud but i don't think they're offering a free webspace ^^

I've upload my musics and the file "index.csv" but i'm not sure that my files are really related with the game Trackmania :/

Some of my musics are very well known :/

If you convert your music from OGG to MUX, then only the game himself can use that format. To convert start ManiaPlanet click on Help -> Custom Data -> Convert Music.

Undef.de my musics are ready the index.csv too all of my musics are in the good format
Well, maniaCDN refuses my files because they're not related with Trackamania and because they're hurting their copyrights rules, someone have an other link ? x)

not sure have never got a server at nc1.eu but I think you can host you music on their ftp.

if not I don't know any free services to host this kind of files.
