Yo Tell it

Hi,

you need an HexEditor like this one "http://www.chip.de/downloads/c1_downloa ... 7ba94274ce"

Build Map, validate, save.

Then you open the validated map the __.Map.gbx file (example 15.Map.gbx) in the HexEditor, search for the first string with name!

It must look like name="Nr of your Track" (example name="15")

Then change the Nr (in example 15) to Name what you want and save.

Overwrite your old track, it must be the exact same __.Map.gbx (example 15.Map.gbx) as before!

Then go back to TMT and upload!

In your selection screen, from where you upload, you will see no changes.

But don't be afraid, the Name is there when you have uploaded it!
Done!

Hi everybody,

Can anyone from Ubisoft, NADEO or the players, can tell me how to upload Tracks with names?

And don't tell me it's not possible, cause it's possible!

I know there can be something done, with a HEX-Editor, but how do this correctly?

I tried by myself but it's only working when i give a name, with same quantity of letters, as before in Numbers!

But it works not all the time, very often i get an upload Error. Or when uploaded, the track is not playable

Please NADEO, let people not make such experiments, give us the possibility to name our tracks.

I have modified, one trackname, and it worked, it's not logical to me!

When i first tried with the Hex Editor, the map can't be played from people
(cause i changed all location,where name was located):

Then i tried to change only one location, with name listing in the gbx file, and it works:
(People can play the map)

Then i wrote Tutorial.

When i tried later, to upload a track with a modified Name, i'll get an upload error.
(I thought the Name was to long or something other)

I'll tried again with a Name with three letters, but also get an upload error!
When i tried a few times more, it worked again to upload, but not to play the track.

I had not the time, to try out more, for now. Thats, why i ask here and now for help.

The other thing is, i will not upload so much Tracks, only for testing, cause we can't delete uploaded tracks.
And i don't want that my page is full of unplayable tracks.

And i know it must work this way or another one, cause it worked with the TR2 track.

I really thought i had the solution, but now i have to admit, it don't works like i wanted it.

I'm sorry to provide the Tutorial, too fast.

But maybe any member from MP, have an idea, where is the failure?!
