Low Quality textures?

Is anyone able to explain why my game looks like this?

Image

I'm running a 5870 and have tried a slew of configurations to make it look, you know, decent. Any help is appreciated.

Could you be more specific as to what "looks like this" means? To me, that -does- look decent

Show us what video settings you're on. Under the "game" tab there should be an option to increase car quality.

Basically everything looks low-res and blurry, especially the cars, but the general world/level is low quality too. In the "game" tab I have everything set to high. Thus far I haven't even cared about performance, I wanted to get everything pretty and then work my way down if needed.

How are you able to change the aa to anything but fxaa or off?

FXAA is here when you choose Nice or VeryNice in the shader quality.
In the lower cases, the AA is the classic one.

At configure, put High Definition on.

Maybe your graphics driver pre-defines the texture quality :?

By default it already was. When I changed it to Low Definition, once turning the game one, it asked me to download the High Definition textures, so I clicked yes. I restarted the game, turned it back on and High Definition was now the default again, but it still looks absolutely terrible.

Hello

I had the same problem with a HD5770.

It's a graphic driver setting, that needs to be changed.

The solution:
Catalyst Control Center
Gaming > 3D Application Settings > Mipmap Detail Level.
The slider should be to the far right (quality).
