Hi everyone,

As said in the Hello Planet #6, a Maniaplanet World Cup on Shootmania Elite and Trackmania 2 Stadium will take place at the end of the year around November. More information about the Final event will be unveiled later.

Here is a the schedule:

• Step 1: July / August : creating the maps and test them out
  Step 2: From September : starting the online qualifier
  Step 3: Playoffs on November, 5th and 6th and Final on November, 7th

The Drakonia team and the Paragon team will run online qualifier.
However all players having a talent (mapping, organization, running servers, testing maps, etc) or just liking doing things with the maniaplanet spirit are welcome to contact the Drakonia team and the Paragon team for joining the adventure.

How submitting your maps?

For Shootmania Elite:
1. Map criteria:

• Name : MC - name of the map (without colors)
• High compiled shadows
• No unnecessary decorations
• No flickering blockmixing
• Normal Elite pole

2. Upload your map to ManiaExchange and post about them in the Paragon forums before Sunday 14th August at midnight here:

The maps will be played in August ParagonLeague Elite cups.


For Trackmania 2 Stadium:
1. Map criteria:

• Name: MC - Name of the map (without colors)
• Length: Between 55s and 1min10
• Mood: Day
• Hexadecimal: Only with the game tool and only if it's clean
• Please use the official TrackMania² Stadium title by NADEO (no custom blocks or objects)
• Style: Tech (like ESWC or ESL maps), progressive difficulty, alternative finish, opportunity to take different trajectory, decisive passage, attractive scenery but not overloaded. The map must use the full competences of the player.

2. Upload your map on Mania Exchange
3. Send your productions (please write MC maps in object) here: trackmania[at]drakonia.eu before Sunday 14th August at midnight.

Edit: Mappack can also be composed of old maps already approved and tested as great competitive ones. Having fresh maps and historical competitive ones can be a nice mappack.

Great news! But why don't you allow Custom Blocks? That's one of the biggest features of Maniaplanet so I don't really understand it even tho I like it. And I would really like to know if Maptesters are still allowed to compete in the cup =)

Nice idea.
But:
1. Why no custom blocks?
2. Will be map creators able to play in cup?
3. Should we use also TMX signs?

There is also one thing I was thinking about, maybe top maps should be packed and added as TM² Stadium: Star Edition as in TMUF.

Anyway should be nice if we can build in all envi's because while this event we can advertise all of them and not only this 2 (Storm, Stadium)

And last question.
When new update will be able do download if there is any.

Will there also be ESWC?
What is the chance of having both?

Can you share more info about the event itself?
- Location
- Duration
- Prizemoney
- Is there something else to do except playing sm/tm

We're speaking about World cup, if it's not an offline event i'ld be really disappointed, same for cashprize.
And yes players have organizations that might be ready to help them attend to the event, but they need to give them some infos about the event.
