Apple Mac Support

Hi All,

Not sure if this is the correct place to mention this but as I own a 27" iMac and a Trackmania fan (owning every game so far) I thought right I would purchase Canyon and install it via crossover and play it like I do with Nations etc.

Sadly this wasnt the case all I get is a white screen and the entire mac freezes.

Have tried Parallels and Fusion both of which do the exact same thing.

As a last resort I tried Bootcamp, have never installed Windows 7 under bootcamp or in fact used bootcamp at all, have now got it all installed and Trackmania 2 Canyon plays flawlessly.

Gotta say fantastic game so for all the mac users wanting to play this just use bootcamp, simple as that...will play just as good as on a PC.

Great stuff and keep up the great work, looking forward to playing the retail game when it comes out.

That would be fantastic since so many people have them now. I have friends who love this game but they have Macbooks for their work. They don't play anything but casual games so they're not going to buy a PC just for Trackmania.

Don't trust wikipedia...
TM has never been released on anything else than PC (except Nintendo DS and Wii but was developped by Firebrand).
The article has mistakes : no release on optical disc so far and it's not based on Unreal Engine...

Yeah i've read on various sites that have quoted Nadeo that they are concentrating on the PC platform and won't be releasing it on anything else.

So Bootcamp is the only way.

Forgot to mention in the original post that I tried it under leopard and also Lion and freezes on both....which is why I then tried bootcamp much to my delight it worked perfectly.....just need to stop playing it so much now.

Did you mean to post in the other thread? That's OK. ;) Anyhow, MBP spec-wise TM2 will play just fine (MBP i7 with HD6750M GPU). OS-wise, you'll need to use bootcamp to play it (which you know). :)
