Hello everyone

In march next year 2017, we will lose the Share folder called Public, Due to new settings of the makers of Dropbox that means we will not be able to use that share for auto uploads in tm for fans to see it, and another all we have added to the Public folder will be lost, all tracks we have made sofar will also be lost and no media will be shown in game..

any ideas of another site for next project pls add here

Its indeed sad dropbox is removing its public links which will affect a lot of locators, but there are some alternatives.
But first 1 important thing. Dont share maps anywhere else then on Mania Exchange where you can find all the community maps https://tm.mania-exchange.com/

Yesterday i have tried out Google Drive, and that seems to be working.
Especially when you are able to make a link which is forcing to download, what is needed for locators.
Usually links from Google Drive look like this: Change that into Place the forcedownloadlink in a locator and its done

Guys, do you have a page, where we should upload our data(for free with limits)?
Dropbox was the only one which was giving you the link with includes filename + extension

I don't know where we (me too) will upload our TPs or manialinks...

The community alternative already exists: ManiaCDN.

I have a webserver with 25GB (florenzius.de)

The ESL Betapack and Snow gbx files are uploaded there

If anyone needs a hoster, I am open

Still MANIACDN is a way better option.
Cause thats driven by the community and its more then 1 server that is hosting your files!
Its not the first time that people have links on 1 website.
And when that website is down the links are all gone, remember Maniacreative

I never tried the community-hosting ^^ But I saw the upload site and the browse-site..

Is there an option to replace/update existing files? Otherwise updating files like TitlePacks would be useless^^ But well, I won't cancel my host in the next years, because I uploaded too much data already

Well thats what they all said in the past.
Perhaps you should add your free space to maniacdn!
And post any questions you have about maniacdn in that topic!

Mania CDN is fine, but it has upload limit 512mb, what is small upload for TP (TM2UF has ~ 700mb). I would use it if it has limit 1GB.

Google Drive had problems for us in the past when using them as locators, so I don't recommend using that.
