TM2 and Ubuntu 16.04 (Wine and PlayOnLinux)

Hello everybody,

Before the update was released, I was able to play TM2 in Ubuntu using PlayOnLinux and Wine 2.7. The game is not in the compatibility list of PlayOnLinux but believe me, it did work very well (I am NOT talking about TrackMania Forever and TrackMania United of course which still work very well, only about TM2 OK ?). Unfortunately, after this great update, TM2 does not work anymore . Did someone manage to make TM2 work under linux using Wine. What configuration ? Do the developers have some ideas about what to do ?

TM2 used before DirectX 9 and now DirectX 11. I think it's why it doesn't work now.

OK so probably there is nothing to do right now . Wine 2.7 is supposed to support Direct3D 11 in theory but since Direct3D is a subset of DirectX (as far as I understand), maybe not the whole DirectX library is supported.

The problem is, that directX 11 is still not really implemented in WINE and no one knows if it will ever happen. I'm actually standing in front of the same problem
