Problem: 'could not find <game title> by Nadeo'

I have problems getting into the ManiaPlanet 2 games which I bought on Steam (valley, stadium, canyon and shootmania storm). I've reinstalled them but they all give a similar error: "could not find the title <game title> by nadeo" when starting the games. I have tried resetting my ManiaPlanet's account password but this did not help. I tried entering the cd keys from Steam a second time in ManiaPlanet but it says I already used them.

I hope you can help me with this, it's been going on for a few days now so I'm afraid it won't fix itself just like that. :?

You could use the standalone clienty available from www.maniaplanet.com
When you uninstalled it, did you also create a backup of your personal files in thw windows Doxuments Maniaplanet folder, and delete that before running the setup?

I had the exact same issue and it originated from the fact that the folders for my PersonalFiles and GameFiles were stored in different places for each of the games.
So what TMarc suggested should do the trick.

If you want to keep using the Steam version, open the launcher for each of those games (you will pe presented with a small window with two options when starting the game from steam ("Play game" and "Launcher")).
Choose launcher and then Help.
Here you can see the current path of your custom files and game files.
I had to make sure those all pointed to the same location (in your case for ShootMania, Canyon, Valley and Stadium) for my game to work properly (beware that after an update those will most likely reset)

Good luck, hopefully this helps!

yes, I deleted everything, even the stuff in c:\programdata

I tried changing the directories to a different location (they were the same for all games) but it did not help.

I'll see if it works without steam. I figured I could install from within the standalone maniaplanet client but I don't know how (only see a "buy" page)... however, the games show up on my player page on the website so I'm downloading the separate exe's now....

Ok, now I tried the standalone installers but I get the same error message as above in the end.
I tried the default directories, custom directories... it's the same error....
If I launch just maniaplanet it shows an empty list, if I try to launch one of the game shortcuts it gives the "could not find title" error.

I was able to download the standalone versions from my player page (it does show the games I own) but I still can't launch the actual games.

I tried maniaplanet on a different pc, same problem.
I think the account really got bugged somehow.

Funny it says "solved" when I (topic starter) haven't even tried it yet. I will try it when I get home again in a week.
Pretty sure I already tried that installer but I'll try once more...

As I said before I already tried MP on another pc as well.
Randomly taking access away from games I purchased a key for (4 of them even) isn't very good service, you know.
