I read somewhere that Platform tracks would not be included on release of the main game. That's a shame cause this new enviro is made for platform tracks. it would be awesome. Hope you can add it after release.

There is no information about the Solo mode at the moment, but I guess there will be the possibility to build and race on platform tracks. Canyon is indeed a great environment for this. :)

Well we have a server up with "trial" maps on it (WTF Trial), which is sort of like platform: You have to drive very carefully and precisely.
Its pretty hard to get into but a lot of fun when you do.
We have a total of 10 maps till now and are looking for more submissions :)
Cheers

I totally support this. Platform tracks were always big fun and a great challenge in the original TM games. I think I've also read that Canyon won't contain any so I really hope it's at least possible to create them on our own.

The blocks are there. Nothing is stopping you from making one

True, but it would be nice to also have platform as an official game mode so that the game counts how often you had to jump back to checkpoints.

metoxys wrote:According to Nadeo there will only be Race as Platform, Stunt and Puzzle are not that popular. If only Stunt, the most popular, gets played by only 0.8% of all players.
With Maniascript, also according to them, one should be able to engineer these modes themself.

I can't believe that less than 1 percent of players use platform mode ... on the other side Trackmania has lots of players. Well then let's hope that a good coder can come up with a replacement soon.

@mytoys at similiar thread at MX:
Nadeo really can't tell how many players played stunts offline. I've never played on a stunt server, because I think stunts are best played offline. Sometimes I play over an hour same map until I get the result I want. I can't do that on a server.
