I guess the reason for not having a pause in siege is that it's hard to figure out how. In elite you can move during a pause, resets round after. In combo you can move during pause, just resets invulnerability and just starts wherever you are when game starts again. Would we just have a complete freeze pause for siege?

Wyh not also start the round from new again. Siege rounds don't take so long tbh and you don't have to pause when the attacking team is at last pole already.
Maybe it would even be possible that the script remembers how far attackers came and how many armor everyone had and let the attackers spawn in the last def spawn after the pause ends.

Well, you have to think about a pause from every perspective. It's not only gonna be used for one type of siege, also there are various types of maps with varying number of checkpoints. Need to find the best system of pausing for all of the different siege styles and maps. The complete restart of round from pole 1 would be terrible imo.
