Hi all.
I'm new to outputing videos from a replay, and I'd like to do it right. I tried to "shoot a video" (ingame option) to 1440p (my screen res) and 60 FPS, with different settings.
So far, the best I got was with AVI output format, and without compression (thus ending with pretty much 1Go per second of replay... Heavy, but I'm okay with it, I can still compress it later). And YET, it's looks a little bit blury... Look at these images :
A frame from the output video : https://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/842332Sanstitre.png
A frame from inside the replay editor when I watch the replay : https://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/810551Sanstitre2.png
There's absolutely no comparison, the second is better hands down. Whilst outputing the video, I tried rendering with the "speed blur", but nothing good. Without blur at all, the cam looks waaaay too shaky, and with anything different from "complete", the camera follows the car in a weird way, not satisfying.
Does anyone know how to ouput a video that looks like what I can see when I watch the replay ingame ? Thank you

Re: Replay editor : making HD video with MP4
Did you try half and quarter motion blur?
And why would you not want motion blur, it makes things appear smoother and flows better
Don't know why it would make the camera shake without blur, what settings are you using?
Maybe depth of field has something to do with it, I don't really know much about this

Thanks for your answer !
Yes I tried with half and quarter ("Without blur at all, the cam looks waaaay too shaky, and with anything different from "complete", the camera follows the car in a weird way, not satisfying.")
Hmm... look at this please : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAKV4qgPlXs (edit: I solved the problem, new version here https://youtu.be/TETpUsHCiBg) inside the loop at 0:07 approx. It look terrible... and the video overall is very ugly compared to what I can watch ingame on my 60Hz 1440p screen...
I told you the rendering settings, I don't know what you mean then, but it's like if the camera followed "very strictly" the car, then when ever it turns, it's really not smooth.

Re: Replay editor : making HD video with MP4
I never use cam 3 when rendering, never needed to. By what settings I mean what is the anti-alias and DOF set to, that can determine the quality of the vid.elie520 wrote:Hmm... look at this please : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAKV4qgPlXs inside the loop at 0:07 approx. I don't remember if I put x49 or x400 as a try. In any case it should be good. I don't know what DOI means (I'm in french, maybe it's a different acronym ?)

Depth of Field
Re: Replay editor : making HD video with MP4
Okay thx. Activated to 400x.
Here is a screen of settings I tried using, and got pretty much the best result (with no compression): https://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/313321Sanstitre.png
The 400x doesn't improve upon 49x from what I observed.

By the way, even the cam2 part is pretty ugly don't you think ?
