Within maniaPlanet, I wanted to go buy Lagoon, but the link "BUY GAME" (or BUY FULL GAME?) opened MS Edge on the homepage/empty page. First of all, my default browser is Chrome, secondly, opening an empty page is useless.

In which country are you living?

I get redirected from https://www.maniaplanet.com/titles/TMLagoon@nadeo to https://smarturl.it/trackmania-lagoon and this gives me https://de-maniaplanet.nexway.com/spiel ... 23723.html
Funny thing, the link names Canyon but it is for Lagoon

Why is ManiaPlanet trying to launch Microsoft browser, instead of just passing a URL to the operating system and letting it choose the default browser?

Could a developer check how ManiaPlanet handles URLs?
Right now, MP is updating, and there's a link "Forum" --> which again opens MS Edge on an empty page.

It's not Maniaplanet, it's Windows... as I said, Maniaplanet uses Windows Internet interfaces.
And if the default browser settings are corrupted, or reset by a Windows update, then it is clear that it (Windows) launches the link in Edge on Windows 10.
