Hello,

After 3 years of absence I made the decision to reinstall the game and see what the last updates brought me!
unfortunately Shootmania suddenly crashes when I shoot in the game.
What is does is it hangs and even the sounds hangs. I have to shut it down in ctrl+Alt+delete.
I can play valley without any problems but shootmania wont.
I tried playing in the editor and online. I can create maps, but when I walk around in them and shoot, it hangs again.
I tried the minimal setup and Maniaplanet_SetupFull.zip but no cigar.
Im running on windows 7 64 bit
AMD FX-6100 processor
AMD radeon HD 7800 with drivers up-to-date.
DirectX 11.1.

I tried reinstalling maniaplanet serveral times, running in windows vista compatibility and as administrator, deleting C:/users/me/Documents/maniaplanet so no old files will conflict but no.

Back in 2013 maniaplanet worked and I would love to play shootmania again and create some maps!

That's a pity. You could try to install the last frozen MP3 version.

Thanks for your quick answer! I'm responding here because I'm helping the b racer, so when we got were we where we decided to start this topic.

The old version works, so it's not something that has to do with hardware. But what b racer really wants is create maps and play online. Seems this frozen version is not updatable..
Is there a way to update this to mp4 or to make mp4 run without this crash?

We've already tried that. And it's an older card so maybe that's the cause. All tough mp3 and other games work without any problems..

And did you try to only run Shootmania (by closing all applications, chat application etc)?

What do you exactly mean with applications?
Can you shut the ingame chat down manually?
If you plug it out from the internet, will that do the same? We can try that, but if it solves anything he also likes to play online..

Any application that use the internet in parallel! Any application that uses video or sound or input devices in parallel!
TeamSpeak, Skype, Mumble, Xfire other chat applications, game controller software, controller tweak software, Game applications of the video card manufactorer like Geforce experience etc.

No success so far:(

Windows 7 SP1 installed?
Or try with another PC (or use a new SSD/HDD) with Windows 10 perhaps?
