Hello.
I have bought Lagoon yesterday. It already took quite a while to download the game in Maniaplanet, and to update it.
But now I have to download either the HQ textures (1.1 Go) or the LD textures. So I chose the HQ textures as my Valley is running on them and I don't want to lose quality over a few bytes.

Now here's the problem :
I've always had problems with my slow internet in the ingame downloader, but usually downloading textures always work.
But I have been trying since yesterday to download these, and they literally stop at around 10 or 20% of the first file, with an error message "Unable to connect to the servers (12002)!" (my Internet was never disabled or anything).
The Low Def textures don't work either. Same deal, and I'd have to download the HQ ones later again anyway.

I would really like to play the game I paid for, which seems to be quite impossible.

Now, is there ANY way to download these files out of the ingame downloader?

You could try to download the full setup pack although I don't know at the moment if it is 100% actual regarding the texture and title pack.

This didn't work. Now I'm really mad, I was at 70% and it warped all the way back to 1!
I had been downloading it since YESTERDAY!

I really, really, REALLY need a solution that doesn't involve Maniaplanet's downloader. I mean, it's just 1 GB of data! This is ridiculous!

I get a new message after it stops now.

The full setup takes more than 5GB...
Sorry, I don't know what to do here.
You could try to download at someone else's place

Copy that link, download file and drop at Program Files' MP Packs folder. It worked when I had the same issue

Mh... Not a bad idea. Any advice is usueful advice! I'll try this tomorrow and keep this thread updated to help other people with the same problem...
These downloader problems have been a thing since forever, it seems, yet I only began encountering them this year.

Alright. For some unknown reason, the servers decided they would work and I could succesfully download the HQ textures.
But here comes ANOTHER problem.
Now, when I open the game, I indeed have the HQ textures. For a VERY little while.
Then, they instantly become low quality (blurry, ugly, especially the cars.

For example, I was racing on the A12 map in the campain, the textures were perfectly nice, no problem, and right in the middle of the race after a few retries, the textures all switched to their low quality counterpart.

I had a similar problem on Valley, when I exceeded 9999 coppers in my maps. This was annoying, but just a minor inconvenience.
But here, it switches to the LD textures for no reason? Like, Nadeo maps never go above 10 000 coppers, do they? And especially not A12...

I checked everywhere in the launcher's settings, I have everything set to high quality, and other settings that were selected by default and which I'd rather not play with as I don't quite understand what they do.

(Can I change the subjects' title, as the question changed?)

Make sure your game has good shader- and texture-settings in the launcher for your problem on lagoon
