For some reason when I hit respawn at a cp now the map restarts. It's super frustrating, especially trying to learn long maps. Any idea why this is happening? and yes I tried remapping respawn to different buttons, no matter what the map just restarts.

in Canyon and i usually press X on my joypad to respawn at a checkpoint. in the past few weeks the map reloads and I'm back at the start. L1 is set to restart the map or "give up". i've tried remapping the buttons but the issue crops up still. Funnily enough it went back to normal for a few days and then again it went back to restarting the map no matter which button I use or set to respawn.

i first noticed it when the new sideways wall ride checkpoints were in a few maps because they are pretty annoying and it's very confusing, so I had to respawn at those cps to find the way but i kept getting sent back to the start. No idea why it's happening and no idea why it goes back to normal sometimes.

Keep in mind you cannot respawn on any sideways/upside down checkpoints, so you'll either get sent back to the most recent "normal" checkpoint or the start line.
