Hi,
Since some update switching to spectator mode puts your camera in 3rd person, whereas previously It was 1st person.
SM is a FPS so the default view should obviously be 1st person, I think that an update at some point broke that.

Yes this default 3rd person spectator mode is annoying for players and not beginner friendly.

Indeed, in team based modes like elite it could even be abused as a wall hack.
When the one players attacks, the rest of his team has a way bigger overview when they spectate him in 3rd person.
