Hello Maniaplanet Forum!

I have an issue: After selecting my profile and clicking "Connect" in the Maniaplanet client, I get an error message: "http error 12 157".

What causes such an error? What is the technical meaning for that error?

If the error message would be explicit, I could have maybe solved this issue myself...

With your help I could fix the error and now Maniaplanet works!

For anyone stumbling on the same problem:
My setup was running the game via wine. I installed the wine package in linux, but missed a package: lib32-gnutls. Using it I don't have any ssl errors anymore.

If you're not running the game with wine and get this error, that can also be due to you not having updated SSL certificates.

Hope I could help anyone else with this.

I'm curious, this is Maniaplanet 4 on Wine, right? How well does it work nowadays? I remember it didn't work because of a lack of DX11.

Well, it works, it's far from pretty, but works.

• I have some gliching black boxes in the sky, as you can see here:
  
• I have multiple monitors. MP4/wine doesn't seem to handle them very well: my mouse is clamped to only the left part of my setup and fullscreen does not work correctly. But that's fixable by running mp4 in no-border windowed mode.

Other than that it's fine. Fps seems fine.

Oh and btw: I'm using playonlinux. I don't think that changes much, but I have a virtual drive that I run maniaplanet on because of that.
