So i havent played in over 2 years and last i played xaseco was a thing... needless to say none of my old server configurations now work and after some research i have come to find that uaseco is now the go to.

I have a basic server up and running on an ubuntu 16 box but for the life of me i cant figure out how to get uaseco to run on top of it. any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are willing to assist and wouldnt mind pinging me on discord https://discord.gg/u4EyuK9 i would greatly appreciate it.

If you played with xaseco then you should have no problems with this.
Its a fork of xaseco.

Then you didn't read the linked documentaion, because there are both (linux and windows) install instructions together:
https://www.uaseco.org/documentation/installation.php#Introducing wrote: Scenario No.1: Hosted in a data center (24/7)
You have a so called dedicated server which is running Linux and is located inside of a data center and it is available 24/7 from the internet.
This is the default scenario for this manual.
