guys did you know you actually COULD play + train offline ?
Read the description in the link. Don't mind the video

I guess I took it for granted that everyone knows how to do this.

Thanks for the quick guide for those people who don't know how. I like how you only provided the guide on the youtube video, thus driving traffic to the page.
It saddens me that about 1 out of every 20 tracks I download are passworded and your little "workaround" for playing offline isn't possible.
Thankfully there is another way. This is especially handy if the track is passworded.
If you've played the track online and wish to practice on it later... just save the replay while playing online.
To save it, Hit ESC -> Advanced Options -> Save replay (or save previous replay if you've done a good run online)
Then leave the server. Go back to the main menu.
Then go to Editor -> Edit a Replay -> Select the replay to drive against -> Click "Launch" -> Choose "Play" from the menu. Now you can race on that map as many times as you want.

Also you have to be online at least to login to your account, otherwise you can't start TM² Canyon for now.

Yeah indeed by offline i meant SOLO (as in TMU terminology)

That would definitely be the easier way.
