Logitech Rumblepad 2 USB

I'm a 'newbie' to this game. I just bought the game earlier this morning, after watching several gameplay videos & trailers of TrackMania 2. I tried driving around with my keyboard at first, but something felt off. I've always played on controllers when playing racing games, always used the left analog stick to make left and right turns.
It just turns out that I had a Logitech Rumblepad 2 USB controller that I bought a while back for my NBA 2K11. So I plugged it in, hoping that it would work. It worked. I configured all of the controls to my liking, except for the steering. When I tried to configure the steering to my left analog stick, it wouldn't register. However, both my right analog stick and my d-pad registered. I know this isn't a big deal, but like I mentioned above, I've always used the left analog stick to make my turns. When I tested out to see if my left analog stick worked in the Logitech Profiler, it worked perfectly; responded with no delay. When I tested it out on other games like Street Fighter IV, it worked.
I'm pretty sure there is nothing wrong with my controller, since I tested it out on multiple games. Any solutions to this?
