Dedicated Server Cache

In TMNF Server Cache was saved in GameData/Cache.
For some reason I can't find the cache folder in Trackmania 2.
UserData/Cache does not exist.
CommonData/Cache is empty for me.
I enabled P2P Download/Upload in the config. But as far as I know it's not needed for players to send each other skins & horns, correct ?
I played with a friend today and for some reason I couldn't hear his horn (and he couldn't hear mine). We used locators (direct link), I opened port 2350 & 3450, checked the antivirus, checked the TM Launcher Settings we even tried multiple servers and skipped various maps. Still no success.

P2P is broken since MP4-Update on our Servers too.

The Cache should be found here by default - C:\ProgramData\ManiaPlanet\Cache . For some people this folder may be 'Hidden', which can be changed in the parent folder properties. Also, in the launcher, click on the '
Help' button to see where Custom data is being stored and change that with the '
Move game data' button if you wish. ... etc
Sharing horns etc is, as
speedychris suggests, not happening for some time now.
Cheers

I think you are talking about the game cache wich is still working. The topic starter is talking about the server cache, and I have the same on me @home server.

P2P is disabled, And shouldn't be activated
There is some bug that let cars stay on the start
You can enable it on your own risk, i'm not responsible for ANY damage which will be caused by it
Code: Select all
<enable_p2p_upload>True</enable_p2p_upload>
<enable_p2p_download>True</enable_p2p_download>
after some time the transfer will stuck completely
you can still play normally
-----------------------------------------------------------------
To the Problem:
Sometimes it happens that the Skins are not there until the Players on the other side are rejoined
Some Skins with a specific NAME will not work for an unknown reason
Check in the Car selection Menu if you get a red text at the TOP which says that your car can only be used locally
-----------------------------------------------------------------
PLEASE USE LOCATORS

Ok so.....I have p2p disabled now both download & upload.
Is there still transfer of skins/horns between players or not ?
A friend of mine just bought Stadium² and wanted to try out his new horn (ogg mono) but he couldnt make it work. Then we figured out that my skin (that I used for weeks now) wasn't showing either. Yes, we used locators. And yes we did all the port/antivirus configuration to be sure. This P2P is real bullshittery to be honest.
