I'm sitting here aching to get back into Trackmania 2. I was going to buy the game here: http://eu-maniaplanet.nexway.com/games/ ... 62802.html, but apparently Nexway doesn't want my money. When I click Add to Cart, nothing happens except I get that waiting animation symbol (dots spinning in a circle).
I contacted their support yesterday and I'm still waiting to hear back.

Meanwhile, are there other places to buy it for the Maniaplanet 4 platform?

Also, is there any downside to buying it on Steam (or uPlay)? I seem to recall for Maniaplanet 3 that you had to have it on the MP3 platform to be able to use environment mixing, because that wouldn't work on Steam. Does that apply to MP4 too?

BUT when I checked this, I got a box on the next page saying "This item is currently unavailable in your country." So I'm not sure what's happening or if it will work for you (as long as you're not in Australia).

You can also buy it on Steam or Uplay, which doesn't really have any downsides. Once the game is activated to your account, you can even switch to the non-Steam version of ManiaPlanet, which you can download from the website.

Yes, that's where I came from. When I click on Titles and Buy & Download I get transported to the Nexway server and the link I posted.

A couple of extra questions:
1. When you buy it on Steam will you still have to run it through uPlay, i.e. is uPlay required to start the game? I'll rather just buy it on uPlay if that's the case.

2. "you can even switch to the non-Steam version of ManiaPlanet, which you can download from the website." - So I can buy it on uPlay, and then afterwards go to https://maniaplanet.com, download the MP4 platform, install it, and then activate and play Stadium there at no extra cost?

yes, if you purchase it on Steam or Uplay, you need to install Maniaplanet there and run it at least once with the existing Maniaplanet account, to have the key registered and associated with that account.

1. No, Uplay is not required if you have the game on Steam or if you have ManiaPlanet installed standalone. Both work without Uplay. In fact, I think even the Uplay version works without Uplay

2. Once you've activated it through Steam/Uplay first, then yes.
