I bought a Steam CD-key and could also activate it, but if i try to start the game, says Maniaplanet "The game key is already used".
What's the deal with that?
Was the key already in use, when i bought it, or is that a transmission problem between Steam and Maniaplanet?
And when the key was already consumed, why i could still activate the game on Steam?

Steam might be trying to automatically register your key again even though it has already happened. Can you log in regularly with your Maniaplanet account and can you play Stadium like normal?

Also, where did you buy the Steam Key?

When i log in, i get a window with: channels, titles, stations, keys.
If i click on "titles" and then on "Trackmania2 Stadium by nadeo", i get the option to buy the full version.
That brings me to the Steam store, where it says, that i have already bought the game.

Was the key a 3-part key (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) or a 5-part key (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXX)?

If it was a 3-part key, then Steam should give you a separate CD key that you can pop into here:





If it was a 5-part key, you were probably scammed, and that's why nobody should ever buy from sites like that. (Game will be on sale during the Steam summer sale anyway, so why bother with phishy sites?)

Did the format of the keys change?
I thought it was XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXX exactly? At least keys available from the Maniaplanet store looked like that when I purchased my titles.

Oof, yes, sounds like you bought a used Maniaplanet key that was not redeemed on Steam yet.

I suggest removing the game from your Steam library (there should be an option for this on your Steam account support page, same place where you refund games), and then buying the game from Steam instead, which should give you a new unused key.

Yes, that's the Maniaplanet key format. The 3-part keys is an actual Steam key.

Would you mind telling us where you had purchased the key from, or was it only another user?
In either case, Nadeo should invalidate that key.

Luckily the game is not too expensive.

So... i could remove the game from my account, as you have explained, and purchased it regularly on Steam now (was even cheaper).

The seller was www.digitalitem.trade,
but it looks like that Kinguin will refund the money in this case.

I must attach: I bought it now in Steam Summer Sale and received the exact same key, it has not changed - that is pain.

You did not remove the game from your account before purchasing again?
This is why the old key is still there.
Steam has certainly assigned a new key, but why it is not visible, I cannot tell, try to search your library and the game properties.
And there have been several people already with trouble regarding keys.

Perhaps ypu need to contact Steam support for that.
