I'll leave this thread open as long as discussions are civil and constructive.

Edit: This wasn't originally the first post in the thread, but now it is. Old thread: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=45477

Ok

I will leave the topic open and just simply delete negative posts. You can say what seems wrong, and you may even be wrong about it sometimes, but behaving with a negative spirit will lead you nowhere here.

I will start by expressing my concerns regarding the common platform between TrackMania and Shootmania.
More than once, this has proven more of an inconvenience rather than a convenience to me at least.

Thanks alot @hylis!

Let's all together try to make things better in the game we all love. Lets row in the same direction.

My propositions:
- no ruminating all the past things. lets get to the point and collect the working places.
- lets talk about what is to do, and who can do and help
- no complaining about the past, all words are said to it. Lets turn the head forward.
- no unrealistic demands from us gamers - but honest and profound answers (if not too deep in the secrets)from Developers side.
- a bidirectional communication
- no personal attacks and no exaggerated sensitivity
- defining markstones we all can see and check
- lets make shootmania great again ;-)

... to be continued.

Would love to get Hype to moderate.... and maybe Discord is the faster place and better useable?

Tx for making things clear

Keeth, we intend to split SM and TM in the future. There are pros and cons in both. It will make things more clear for players.

This really sound like a big task! :o
Could you elaborate more on this topic?
If not do you have any idea about when you might have more to share?

Both will share tech, but it should be two separate .exe. Because of marketing, it is hard to tell more about the future, and it is as much frustrating for us. Meanwhile, people want proper marketing. But to do it, you need something big to announce or nobody will talk about it. So it takes time to make big things and you can't talk about them while you do. So, you try to bring what you can during you do the next thing, like players request of a better UIs, but most of your ressources should concentrate on the next step.

This sounds very promising to me!
Is this something we'll hear more about soon or will it be something further down the line as in several months?

Unfortunately more than several months. My intention was to release RoyalSquad and use it as a way to work on it and make one thing really clean, to both train new people that will have more time of these subjects and keep things on going for SM as a good addition.

It is not easy call to split forces.

There is a lack of polish in our previous work and it requires a lot more people to both innovate and polish

The RoyalSquad was part of an initiative to use a key feature we wished to put at a system level, the squadding, but it was a little too late because of other things that have been done. I really think that squadding was a good addition.
