Hello,

As said in the title I don't have any sounds at all when playing these two games(Shootmania and Trackmania Stadium 2, I suppose the maniaplanet launcher is the key to find the solution. )... I can't really say how and when it occured because i didn't really thought of it but recently when I was playing I felt the incredible sadness of the silence.

I'm on Windows 10, GPU: GTX1070, 16Gb Ram... So i guess this is not the problem as I was playing with sounds with a previous computer on W10.

I read online some people had the same problem but I can't seem to find any solution for me.

Can someone help me ?

If you need specific logs please asl me how to find them I'm not a beginner in computers and stuff but I don't know where to find thos logs and what logs might be good to fix the problem once for all and for everyone.

Some other users had a similar issue, did you try to search this forum?

Are you using the 32 or the 64bit version of Maniaplanet?

In the Launcher, is your sound device detected?
Which one do you have?

EDIT : Maniaplanet now showed up on Windows 10 sound mixer.

I've searched a lot on this forum, on Google, etc .... I've put the sound in game at maximum volume, tried to see if Windows volume was low, but no...

I'm using the 64bit. I've tried the 32 still no sound.

I'm using a Arctis 5 by Steelseries, and a realtek soundcard. This is probably not a problem as one of my friend have realtek and an arctis 5 and the game sound is there for him.

From the log it looks like the OpenAL DLL which comes with Maniaplanet is not able to detect your sound card.
Do you have the current drivers installed?

I do have the current driver for realtek. I recently did a driver update for it.

Is there another fix for this ?

You could check if it is compatible with OpenAL, and if it adds its own implementation.
Then you could try to overwrite the file from Maniaplanet.

you can check in the Windows folders, if there is a file OpenAL32.dll, and when you open its properties, who is the manufacturer.
With the newest major Windows 10 update, there is one with the version 6.14.357.25. But it has only 121kb, compared to the version which comes with Maniaplanet (561kB).

This is definetely complicated at this point, there is no executable to do that (or maybe a hotfix)

I tried to search an OpenAL32.dll but couldn't find it ...

Maybe I'll try reainstalling my os eventually. But for now i'll play TM Stadium with Music in the background. It sucks that there is no tutorial made by Nadeao or anyone else on this problem which happens to a lot of people apparently.
