Is there a way to have ghosts always visible?

The ghosts seem to fade when I get not even that close to them. Is there a way to make them always fully visible like in United? In the Launcher options, the option for it literally does nothing.

Also check the game setting "number of visible oppenents" in the Launcher.

Pressing O twice works, but not when playing against replays via the editor instead of "Versus Replay"
The launcher is set so that there is no limit on the number of opponents, and it's set to "Always Visible". However, even if set to "Hide Too Close", there are no changes.

You can't race against ghosts in the editor.
