Story of the Nadeo studio

Hey,

Recently, I started watching documentaries where game developers are interviewed about the story of their studio or/and their game(s).

Some examples:
Making of Horizon Zero Dawn
Rocket league documentary Part 1
Playing Hard (For Honor) on Netflix
etc...

It's really fascinating for me because it's like a small story full of emotions, passion & dreams. For example when you realize that the 1st version of Rocket league was released like ~10-15years ago but it wasn't successful. But they kept going and their willpower was rewarded! Amazing to see something like that.

What I'd like to ask.. Can we have something like that for Nadeo & Trackmania (Shootmania) ? Illustrating your journey from the very start (as tech & engine creators if I remember correctly) to now.. with all the ups and downs. A video documentary! That would be mindblowing. :thx:

They did it in 2010 with a DVD called "Generations-Digitales" !!

It's about the first beginnings of TM and the community around it (mainly french players, but MrA and Blahitis amongst others are in the docu as well)

And you could actually 'buy' this DVD with ingame coppers ... yes, there was a time that you could buy stuff with coppers

Glad to have it in my collection

I have found a website for it (where you can buy the DVD.. but the buy link seems dead i'm afraid)
http://generations-digitales.fr/
If you click on 'extraits' there you can watch a one minute trailer about it.

Maybe it's time for a new documentary.. alot has changed sinced 2010 8-)

The buy link at the bottom is dead, but you can click the one at top left. It still works.

Ahem, a message for the 'I want it NOW Generation'; the 'Tell me Your Life Story in 300 Characters' crowd: The link does work: Just click and wait patiently for about ten seconds. You should then see your PayPal login page pop up.  ... ;)

Cheers. :pil
