How can i CLEAN install Maniaplanet without loosing files, progress etc. ?

I think most ppl, saved their \Documents\ManiaPlanet folder and just put everything back when reinstalling system or game.
Like me i dont want to loose my MOD Files, created Title Pack files and progress. (also not the rights as owner of this !)

So the question is, is there anything to pay attention for a "clean" new installation of MP ?
Because it seems there some bugs and things only happen for ppl. with older files, and a clean installation would be useful.

Are there some folders/files when they are existing in the folders the game will choose those instead of the titlepack ones ?
(like matchsettings.txt) and whats with \ProgramData\ManiaPlanet ? And or AppData ?

And what do i need to restore/backup for game progress etc. ?

If you only want to keep your user files, backing up Documents/ManiaPlanet should be good enough. You don't need ProgramData/ManiaPlanet since that should only contain your cache and downloaded packs. What problems are you facing?

(Also, I moved your thread to the correct forum)

"Clean install" is for me a clean install, removing everything and all thats not needed. From the PC ..... resetting all configurations and removing all customations.

I think in general would be helpful when someone can post all the folders and files etc. for such a procedure.

Please specify which folders and files you are talking about.
If you're having a back up of Documents/ManiaPlanet, you're good to go. The rest can and should be deleted as the game can quickly have issues with manually inserted gamedata files
