How do you change waypoint banners? I know to put in the folder but they're not showing?

I think you are talking of the checkpoints, right?
Those can be changed using the skin change tool in the editor. So you need to edit the map in order to do that.
If you want them to be visible on servers, you will need to use locators like for any other custom texture, if you don't use them inside a title pack.

I'm using a banner I created for United, those don't work? I have it in the Banner8x1 folder.

8x1 means 8:1 aspect ratio. Make sure your texture (.dds) is having 8x the width as the height. Ex.: 64*8 px

It's 512x64 64x8=512 but it deosnt show up

Which file format did you use?

dds

And which compression?
Did you use mipmaps?

Compare with another existing texture that works fine.

Today I also looked how to change the banners. With a normal JPG it doesn't work. After a little googling I found this thread and converty my picture into a DDS file, and then it worked.

If anyone else asks how to change the banner picture, here a short instruction:

1. Create an image with a ratio of 8x1 (512x64, 1024x128, ...)
2. Open the image with DXTBmp (or a similar tool)
3. Save the image as a DDS file (DDS DXT 1 worked for me)
4. Copy the DDS file into the following directory: .../Skins/Any/Banner8x1

I have also played with this. I use a 128x128 works as well. Looks Blocky but looks okay when flying past the CP.
