How to increase shadow render distance?

Post by fixor95 » 08 Jan 2020, 16:52

Hello, new here!

Is there any way to increase render distance of shadows? You can see the line between hi-res shadows and low-res shadows here -

it doesn't look very pleasing to me :?

Thanks!

Did you try the "ultra" lightmap setting (which needs to be enabled in the Launcher settings) ? It renders lightmaps internally with a higher resolution before saving them to the maps. The high res version is kept in the local cache.

But it can be also some other issue, like texture filtering of the video card.
Try other settings in both Maniaplanet and video card driver.

I forgot to note that this only show up in replay editor when I zoom a lot. Settings is set to highest possible, even in compatibility mode, lighting is rendered to ultra and I have RTX2080 so that shouldn't be a problem imo.
