Just watched it! Some great points were made. I decided to write a few points down while watching it for those who don't have time to watch a 30 minute interview.

• "Welcome to the club" is the spirit; "Welcoming your friends into the game"
• Racing is universal (everyone loves it), so the new TM has to dig into what's important about racing
• They have asked casual players about what could be better in TM because they're mostly unbiased
• 10 first tracks in the game are about training
• New checkpoint behavior allows for better learning/progression
• Ghost also respawns from checkpoint (was visible in announcement stream too)
• Nadeo started working on this 4 years ago, it was called "Trackmania Seasons"
• The game now is called just "Trackmania" (so not TM Next, not TM Nations, not TM 2020, etc.)
• Regarding other environments, there are plans for "everything else", but they're not ready to share (they have their "own place in the plan")
• Trackmania should be as pure and simple as possible, that's why it's only Stadium for now, not to have it be too complicated
• People have said a lot that Stadium is simpler and less intimidating (from the outside) to understand for newcomers than Canyon
• They don't want to change the core of the game (main physics etc), but are adding new blocks etc
• Live test system = map review system, you go online, you put your maps, and when it's your turn people play your maps
• Nadeo doesn't want to "leave any people behind" (speaking about groups; casuals/pros/creatives)
• New focus: new features in spectating
• TMGL is "a tool" that will help TM get better
• Lots of work to do on replays
• Sponsors inside of the stadium (likely the screens around the stadium to be dynamic)
• New maybe feature: instant replay mid-game for streamers if something cool happens
• There are ideas to improve the automatic spectating camera in general

Additional notes:

• There will be a simple mode to test maps online, which sounds a lot like the channels from Trackmania Turbo, except that it will be automated with queues.
• From all maps that will be uploaded for testing, one map will be selected as "map of the day".
