are there limitations on the API? When I seach for some maps, I don't get results.

Did you search for TWLO or TWL0 (with zero)?
This could make the difference...

I copied the name from ManiaExchange
This is not the only example. Search for neostyle via the API (1 result) and on Maniaexchange (3 results)
