Can't help but notice these modes aren't in 2, platform was a pretty enjoyable mode. you would have thought as it only has 1 enviroment it would have been fleshed out a bit more in other areas, so far this game seems like a standalone enviroment for trackmania forever not a sequel.

It does use the TMNF/TMUF engine with a few graphical tweaks.

With the new mania scripting, it's probably possible to create the mode yourself

Maybe, i just hope they get re-added, like they added star tracks.

I very much agree. The Platform mode was probably my favorite in the old game, I was really hoping to see it when I booted this up

I agree with the OP, and yes maniascript is a very nice feature but it doesn't replace Platform/Stunt/Puzzle as there are no official maps for those modes. Oh well no biggie still lots of other stuff do to in game!

as an old TM player, I've always enjoyed playing Puzzle, so I would like to see that in TM2 also

There's no puzzle/platform mode?! It gets worse and worse, I haven't even been able to get this to install properly yet (5GB of downloads and counting) and now I find out they've taken out some of my favorite parts of the first game

Ouch. Well that settles it, and it pains me to say it, but I'm not buying this :(

Agreed- I thought this would be in as standard, but it turns out it isn't. Even in the editor the only thing you can create is a 'race', and without any sort of documentation for ManiaScript I really can't see it happening any time soon. And, even if you did, would you still be able to create a puzzle map?

Furthermore, the game menu itself doesn't support more than just 'race'. 'Play Solo' just goes straight to choosing one of the pre-made cups- there's not even an option to load in a custom tournament. So you can create to your heart's content, but it's a total nightmare working out how to share things. You know, maybe I'm missing something- I'll just check the manual OH WAIT THERE ISN'T ONE.

There is so much missing from this game right now. I sincerely hope Ubisoft aren't going to simply charge us extra to get the features back.
