Edge of the TM2 world

Has anyone tried to drive to the edge of the world in TM2 yet? I remembered it could be done in all the old ones and tried it while I was waiting for the timer to finish so I could try the "Official Time" again (what a stupid 5 min wait!). It took just over 9 mins (sad, I know, but I really didn't have ANYTHING better to do) but I got there. lol, The sky turned black and I fell into infinity to my demise. I managed it in 9:10 secs (incuding a few stops to admire the view from the highest point in the game. Can anyone beat that??? lol
