Shoot Video: audio, but no video!

I'm having trouble exporting a video of replays. The replay renders and creates a video file successfully, but the video file produced always consists of audio without video (the video size is adjusted correctly during playback, but only a black screen is displayed) . I have tried using the different codecs and have failed with all of them. I have the complete K-Lite (http://www.codecguide.com/about_kl.htm) codec pack installed and have tried some of the other codecs provided via the ffdshow dialogue options, but everything seems to produce the same effect. As you might expect, the created (1080p) file sizes are large, but nothing but sound can be played from them. I have also tried using various media players for playback and sent a sample to a friend, who could also not see any video.

What am I doing wrong!

If it's relevant: I'm using Win 7, an i7 920 and two GTX470's in SLI

Is there a better sub-forum to post this in?

MediaTracker? But double-posting is frowned upon.

Thanks. I'll leave it for a moderator to move, should it seem justified.

[edit] Thanks!

I half-fixed this problem last night. If I disable SLI, it seems as though I can use a few (not all) codecs to encode a video. I updated my codecs to make sure I had 32bit and 64bit versions available and I now have a handful of codecs I can use. I still have trouble with many of them, where it produces sound (like normal) but only encodes the first frame of the replay which remains static throughout the entire video.

I would still appreciate some input, if anyone has some words of wisdom to share.
