Re: [Plugin]FreeZone Plugin
You have to use the last Forever version, which is r267. It seems you're using a version for TM².

hello,
for a long time there was no changes made to the freezone plugin, in my opinion it would now be the time to allow portet plugins for other controllers.

Re: [Plugin]FreeZone Plugin
Well, Nadeo is no longer making money from all our great TMnF servers actively promoting TMUF (freezone or not), so I honestly doubt they care too much anymore..
There's certainly no reason why a FZ plugin can't be made for any other controller -- it's just still wrapped up in the politics of the time, with the feeble attempt to promote ML as a controller leading up to the TM2 release. Gaze back upon the early days of this fiasco, and you can certainly notice how Nadeo really didn't give two $#!+$ about the then booming TMF community..
Of course, anybody looking at the FZ plugin can certainly tell that the only protections preventing you from changing/porting the plugin is a mere hash check of the plugin file -- certainly something that can be easily circumvented.

Re: [Plugin]FreeZone Plugin
Allthough i still also feel it a bit as don''t care, i do not think so it to be completely true. I think they are just wrapped in the new developments. I also talked to Florent about this in conjunction to the freezone and especially its moderators (who are doing less, as they gone to tm2 too). And their is still interaction.
I now currently run 4 freezone servers, completely paid by coppers from the LYNX community, which on their part all bought the game. At this point there are 53 members, 41 bought, 12 free. From this 12 free, which are members joined the past 3 month from the Freezone, allready 5 are ready to buy.
I dunno, maybe this is special, maybe not, but as you see i dont see a stop in sells. Pherhaps its also because we promote it alot, and for creditcardholders, it is possible to buy the game in germany for 10-15 euros. (also sayd a while ago that for 15 most peepz would still wanna buy).
My hopes are still going out for some sort of little development twist to still sell the game, or if not, they at least remove the quote 'Nadeo is expertimenting with the Freezone'. Thsi is really out of date 1 year further..
Bless you all, and have a jolly good 2012!!

Re: [Plugin]FreeZone Plugin
Disable the database settings in your manialive config file. Remove the lines or add a ; before
You only need it for xaseco.
AND VERY IMPORTANT:
You have made all your usernames and passwords public. Remove the files from fileden immediatly and
change all usernames and passwords !!
Code: Select all
;plugins.Freezone\Freezone.dbUser =
;plugins.Freezone\Freezone.dbPass =
;plugins.Freezone\Freezone.dbName =
