And then I upgraded to an SSD. My CD key stopped working so I contacted support. They told me to buy a new one.
Love the game but sorry to say I'm not spending a total of $50 on this game when I just threw a bunch of money on an SSD. I was under the impression that this game was pretty lax about this kind of stuff; guess not.

Through which service did you purchase the game?

Are you saying that the game can be ran off of different harddrives and the OPs actual problem has to do with billing?
Or is the game truely limited to a single hard drive? (Which wouldn't make sense to me since its account based and has no drm?)

I talked about your CD-Key issue, not the SSD. You can install the game on any computer you want but if you wish to play with another person at the same time online or offline (with splitscreen for example), you have to buy a new key.

uuugh I recently made a new profile in case someone wants to splitscreen against me and I didn't have to buy any new key
