Holladriho everyone ! =D

Finished my first three tracks I have created and tested the last 5 days
It would be really nice if you could take a look on them.
They are quite tricky but once you got into the track architecture they provide you with a lot of fun =D
They come out of the box with : Podium, Intro, GPS, Ultra-high shadows calculated, Camerachanges if usefull

The trackdesign is a bit different from the stuff I ve seen so far :
If there are a lot of players on these two maps they are going to see eachother very often on the same track from different angles. They are builded as crossings / crossroads

Please let me know what you think of them, would love to see them being played with about 20 players or so ^^

Hey, I downloaded and raced your tracks, here is what I think:
The Tube2k

 (Good)
- Startjump is pleasing
- Feels tight for the most part
- Jump to finish gives a nice fly-by of the track
- Has an intro
- Ingame Cam-change
- GPS

:| (Not Good, not Bad, but needs to be mentioned)
- Very simple intro
Scenery is a bit lacking

:( (Not so Good)
- Some parts really break the flow, for example right after the first jump- you are coming in with high velocity, but need to brake down heavily to get the tilted curve
- Jump after loop is way too short, I need to decelerate to land on the road
- Loopcam ends too late, try setting a new clip to end it
- Loop feels bad. Loops in general are not good in Canyon, but this one is not only a double loop, but you absolutely need to steer and it has 1 block of ceiling, making pretty annoying

To conclude: Nice ideas, but you need to work on the flow a bit, and think of something concerning the loop. Also, a good driver could potentially cut the track there, by not driving the loop but passing through the first checkpoint and reversing.

Reactor2k

- Mood and scenery fit the trackname
- GPS
- Intro
- Pathfinding was very easy, despite the track largely the same

:|
- Short Intro
- GPS has mistakes

:(
- Pure Wallrides and Loops: They handle bad in Canyon. That's not your fault obviously, but I heavily dislike them.
For me, it was just not fun.
- The narrow turns at high speed- and there were a lot of those. I had to hit the brakes a long time before I even hit the curve. And then 180°? The broke the track apart.
- No variety- only wallrides, loops and narrow turns
- OMG fire out of my car! Seriously, red lines are more for replays and outros, I don't like them while driving as they are irritating.

To conclude: I don't think pure Wallrides and Loops can sustain a whole track in Canyon. Only my opinion, but I just dislike them in Canyon.
Wallride2k

- Nice lights
- Second wallride is challenging without being too frustrating
- Intro & GPS

:|
- No Loopcam

:(
- Pretty much as in Reactor, I don't like wallrides...
- First Wallride is seriously annoying. You hang in that wall like a drunken duck. I'm playing car wot goes fast, not bird with a bottle.
- Again, fire out of my car!
- Ending can be annoying since changing course in a loop is even more annoying than changing course on a wall. Perhaps make the loop straight?

To conclude: My complaints are pretty similar to "Reactor" on this one, though the narrow curves fit a lot better since you arrive at low speed. I'm no fan of wallrides.
Ok, that's it from me. I'll be glad to review your next tracks, perhaps with less wallrides? :D

Ello there =D

thanks for your reply(s)!
You ve written quite a lot there, and its something I can really work with.

A question to the rest of you out there who have driven the tracks yet (if there is someone left =P):
Do you think similar in all these points Cr3atex mentioned above ?
Would be great to hear feedback from more ppl, or at least let me know if everything necessary is already "said" =D

Thanks so far
See you around !
