It's like C++.
You shouldn't have any trouble picking up the language. You'll notice it has been designed with ease of use/development in mind making it an ideal language for all.

It's a mix of various languages. A lot of C-like languages (even some that derived from C itself) have influenced it greatly. One of the main ones is C++, like JTK said.
