Hi, I just registered on these forums.
The first obvious thing I did was go into my profile to set an avatar, and... maximum 6kb avatars are allowed?
Is that limit really needed? Can't you make it something like 39kb (the usual max size on the forums) and 100x100px dimentions?

It's REALLY hard to find an avatar meeting your limits.
The nadeo staff avatars are 10kb in size...

yes but their avatar are in .png you need to open with paint or another program and to save it in .jpeg format

Ok, it's 20kb now.
By the way, the Nadeo staff avatars are 90x90

I'll give you 3 avatars which I usually use on different forums.
Each one of them I edited to make it meet the dimension sizes (90x90px) and I saved them in the worst quality possible (the last one looks HORRIBLE now) and they STILL don't meet the size limits.




Their sizes are between 14kb to 19kb. If I saved them in the best quality possible, it would range from about 25kb to 35kb.

We don't change the avatar size for the moment and the Nadeo staff avatars are 90x90

But the file size is more than 6kb.

Yeah I also have got the problem. Mine is a really simple one, but it's still 8kb...
6kb is really far too less....

btw.: a small icon in the adress-bar would be nice, so you can differ it from other tabs^-^

Hey Guys, you just have to put an external URL (direct link to image, like uppix or imageshack ones) in the last line of your profile option...so you've no more problems with the 6kb limit.

Still it requires .png, .jpg would be far more lighter on internet use.

yeah it works..
but it's because they changed the maximum to 20 ;P

ok what about fully disabling avatars and signatures?!

who needs them anyway?!
