Wheel/controller suggestions?

I'm looking to "upgrade" from a keyboard to something better for driving. What kind/brand of controller (pad/joystick/wheel) works well with TM2? (Does force feedback work well in TM2?)

All works fine with TM², after the "best" depend of each person. Actually, most person play with keyboard or pad (Xbox360, Logitech, PS2/3...).

Thanks, I've been using the xbox gamepad for a couple of weeks. While it's an improvement over the keyboard it still sucks, especially now that I'm running into a lot of tracks that have those stupid curved tunnels. The difference between hard left and hard right is maybe half an inch. The difference between slamming into the inside of those curves and the outside while drifting is about a millionth of an inch. (Plus, there's no way to configure it so you have gas/brake with left hand BUTTONS and steering with the right. I can't believe TM doesn't let me use the d-pad!)
With a wheel (e.g. logitech 11 inch wheel with 2.5 turns) the difference between hard left and hard right is 86 inches... a lot more, 100 times more accuracy! Force feedback makes a HUGE difference. I had a FF wheel 10 years ago, it greatly improved my racing times and was way more fun. I wanted to know if this game properly supports it, otherwise it's a waste of money to buy one with FF for this game.

I just can't get on with the keyboard so I opted for a ps1/2 controller with a usb adapter and my game has improved dramatically. The controllers are now inexpensive, as are the usb adapters, and are very strong and highly configurable. You can also get them with analogue sticks if you wish. Don't be tempted to buy the really cheap usb versions though as they won't last very long, look for a robust controller. With at least 12 buttons you can configure everything from steering to chat ... but leave the Respawn and the Quit/Restart on the keyboard in case you accidently hit a wrong button lol

If you would like to use a wheel,
I would suggest a Logitech G27
A Logitech G25 is an alternative but it doesn't have so much buttons

Thanks, I just picked up the Logitech Driving Force GT today. I've only raced a few minutes with it but it's not a bad wheel. I need to figure out the best settings for it. I still cannot gas/brake simultaneously unless I use the buttons on the wheel, which makes that "turning" thing very difficult. (If I assign a button to the brake, and use the gas pedal, whenever I hit the brake button, it ignores the gas pedal until I let up!)
I can't do it with a gamepad either, because some genius decided all buttons should always be on the right thumb. That's great for shooting games, but sucks for this situation... driving with my left thumb is worse than the keyboard. So I have to use the left joystick for the gas/brake and the right for steering, like an RC car controller. (If I could flip the X-axis I could hold the pad upside down and use the buttons though, LOL.)
