List of all known bugs

This is a central topic for reporting bugs in the current version of Maniaplanet. The list is always under construction, since there will always be new bugs posted, and old ones fixed. Fixed bugs will be marked in this list, and not removed.
To keep it clear: bugs are faults in the game, not new suggestions. Things that are already featured, but do not work as they are intended by the developer.
How this list works is as follows:
- Red bugs are still present since the latest update.
- Black bugs are reported, but not yet double checked.
- Green bugs were fixed in an earlier update.
Black bugs are thus not fixed, or not 'less important' than red bugs, but these are just either harder to reproduce (sometimes since chance is involved) or are simply not yet checked by me. When someone else than the original reporter has checked the bug, and reports that here, I will also turn it into a red bug.
Campaign / Local play
- After having driven a personal record, your own ghost (and thus cp-times) have disappeared as soon as you open the same map later again.
- Splitscreen inputs seem to be messed up. (source, source)
- Unable to switch cameras in splitscreen.
- After downloading official replays, you cannot watch them (since they are nowhere to be found).
- Changing volume during intro is practically impossible. (source)
- In hotseat, the camera always gets back to default (1).
- In hotseat, opponents don't get hidden when you've turned "Hide opponents when too close" on.
- The framerate-analyser gets automatically switched back after a round is finished, but it bugs when you try to put it on again. (source)
- The car drives backwards when reading a message or something similar.
Multiplayer
- After a restart of the map, around half of the players experience a "Depth of Field" bug, causing the whole screen to be blurred. This can only be fixed by rejoining the server, or by first enabling and then disabling FX Bloom in the ingame settings. Also, this bug only happens to people who have "PostProcess FX" enabled in their general settings (in the launcher).
- The "Autosave all replays" function does not seem to work properly yet. Many replays are saved, but there are still quite a few missing, or broken off at a certain point during the round. Almost never the replays are complete. Nevertheless, the same autosaved replays saved by a dedicated server are fine and complete.
- Some outro triggers which worked fine in solo mode, do not trigger anymore in multiplayer. (source)
- Outro cams start before countdown in multiplayer.
- Spectators sometimes cannot select specific drivers to spectate.
- Spectators sometimes get stuck in free/replay/follow mode. (source)
- Sometimes (though rarely apparently), opponents are not shown. The exact cause is so far undetermined. This has happened multiple times since, but the cause is still undetermined. A specific action scheme of leaving and rejoining seemed to fix it.
- Quite randomly, the game crashes when you press either 'return' or 'delete', in order to either respawn, retire or chat.
- When a serverowner is connected through LAN to his own server, he's not able to send any p2p data to other players.
- In rounds mode, the live info "Previous Time" doesn't work.
- In the main menu, when clicking on a buddy, you are not redirected to the server they are playing on. (source)
- As a spectator, with auto focus enabled, you very often watch slow or inactive players, while in trackmania united you usually watched the fastest racers.
Track Editor / Mediatracker
- Import ghosts into mediatracker don't work: ghost has to be saved as clip, not as replay.
- Nicknames cannot be removed in ingame mediatracker.
- Recording a mediatracker ghost causes the background race music to keep playing, also in the editor.
- There is no water in a track thumbnail.
- The shortcuts for "Plugins mode" and "Test drive mode", are the same (F5), and only "Test drive mode" works.
- When editing a track with a mod, the main menu is featuring the same mod as well (apart from the actual building area and sky).
- One case has been reported where, in the editor, the placed blocks are randomly different from the actual block one is trying to place.
- Clip becomes invisible when keyframes collide, but is still shown in the mediatracker. (source)
- "Timespeed" in the intro or outro don't work; it works in the editor, but not when you play it locally, online or when you render it. (source)
- "CameraRace" in the Mediatracker doesn't work properly; while it works right in the editor, it does not when you play it locally (the front of your car is visible).
- "FX CameraMap" does not work at all, since locators for this function cannot be added.
- When being promped with the question whether you want to overwrite a track with a similar name, and select 'no', the track will still be saved.
- "2D Triangles" are missing content compared to TMF. (source)
- Bug concerning the block 9-3-1 when using the copy-paste tool. (source, source)
- When computing shadows before having validated the map. Saving the track, exiting it, reopening it will remove the computed shadows, and you'll be forced to compute them again. However, the shadows seem to be messed up in more different scenarios, according to this following source. (source)
- The road is going through the cliff when placing a looping near another block of that kind. (source)
- Camera movements by keyboard don't work properly when test drive mode is activated. (source)
- The global clip option to make a clip more important than others, only works in outros. (source)
- When having added text to an empty clip, and going through the text by cursor, the camera moves as well. (source)
- When importing a clip with a custom camera into the intro, the coordinates are messed up.
- When recording multiple ghosts in the mediatracker, they will not sync right. (source)
Replay Editor
- Import ghosts into other replays don't work: ghost has to be saved as clip, not as replay.
- Wheels don't spin in autosaved server replays.
- When you delete ghosts from a replay, and then play against it (either through the replay editor, or local play), all (previously deleted) ghosts are still visible.
- When having changed starting times from ghosts in a replay, and then play against it (either through the replay editor, or local play), all ghosts will start from the right time in the very first round, but after retiring and playing the track again, the ghosts start from the original starting times again.
- You cannot select more than one replay in the replay editor, nor can you select more replays to drive against at the same time.
- In the replay editor, when a ghost is outside of the region of a time block, it is still visible.
- When rendering a replay with tags turned on, tags are renderen on another position, and not above the cars.
- The order of rendering when using "Editing Cut" is not right. (source)
- When there are multiple pages of clips, and you try to delete a whole clip on a page other than the first, not that clip will get deleted, but the one of the first page only.
- When you edit a replay, and save it again, regardless of any changes made, the time goes to "???" and you can not play against, import or validate the replay anymore. This bug appeared since one of the latest bèta-updates.
General
- Updater seems to be faulty when multiple drivers use the same computer. A manual update fixes the problem. (source)
- Several bugs concerning the stereoscopic/3D feature. (source)
- Autosave personal bests doesn't save the actual personal best many, many times, but the exact cause of the problem is still undetermined. At least playing against a replay causes personal bests to not be saved.
Shootmania
- When switching from Trackmania to Shootmania, only free spec works.
